Medical students with an interest in ENT have several opportunities to learn more about this exciting specialty such as shadowing one of our providers, becoming involved with research, or just talking with our residents or faculty.  Inquiries can be explored through the College of Medicine ENT career advocate.

Medical students can elect to spend two weeks on the Otolaryngology service as part of their EM/General Surgery and Surgical Subspecialties 10 week clerkship (SURG8200).

We also offer a 4 week Acting Internship for fourth year medical students (students from Upstate Medical College and visiting students) (OTOL4801). This offers the best experience for those considering residency in Otolaryngology/Head and Neck Surgery. Students get exposure to the wide variety of sub-specialties and spend time with faculty both in the operating room and outpatient offices.

Visiting students are welcome and should contact both the Department at 315.464.4636 and the College of Medicine Curriculum Office at 315.464.5187 for details.
